Creating and Updating the Patch

In the Patch-Window, you can set up everything needed for a fully functional patch on the GrandMA desk. You have the option to either merge new fixtures with the existing ones on the desk or replace them entirely.

You can also decide whether to use a single layer for all fixtures, which is useful for adding some fixtures to the show file, or allow the preparation process to create multiple layers based on selected criteria such as Fixture Type, Position, and Function.

To create the patch and upload it directly (if you are in Network Mode), simply press the Create Patch button.

If you have updates for the existing fixtures on the desk, you can use the Update Patch button. This allows you to create macros to update the following values:

DMX Patch
3D Position
3D Rotation
Fixture Labels

Filters

You can effortlessly create the following basic filters for the current fixtures in the showfile. The preparation process will generate these filters:

Values Only
Timing Only
FX Only
All Without Control
A filter for each Preset Type (e.g., Dimmer, Position, Color, Gobo, etc.)
